Your Role and Responsibilities

Bartenders are the lifeblood of our establishment, responsible for delivering exceptional drinking and dining experiences at our bar. This includes producing all cocktails and beer for the dining room and bar, all while ensuring each guest feels welcomed and appreciated. Your ultimate goal? To maximize and enrich the guest experience at every opportunity.

• Assisting in the development and creation of the hotel’s innovative beverage program
• Greeting customers promptly and warmly as they enter the bar area
• Taking beverage orders from guests and servers, ensuring consistency with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes
• Upselling drink specials and food items as directed by management
• Maintaining a professional appearance and uniform standards, while keeping the bar properly stocked at all times
• Maintaining open communication and harmonious relations between front-of-house, back-of-house, and hotel staff
• Assisting with the training of new employees

What Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking an individual with an outgoing personality, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills. You must be knowledgeable about wine and beverage brand selections, drink garnishes, and prices, and have a comprehensive understanding of standardized recipes for classic and contemporary cocktails. You should be open to trying new food and drinks and be able to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations. Plus, you’ll need to be computer savvy and have a basic understanding of ordering procedures.

Qualifications

Must be age 21 or above and able to obtain an Indiana Employee Liquor Permit. Previous bartending, serving, and/or customer service experience is a plus.
