Under the direction of the Assistant Principal, the STEAM teacher models, delivers, and crafts rich student-centered learning experiences around Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.This role works with existing instructional staff to strengthen instruction in all core content areas and assists in the development of the school’s Makerspace, STEAM program goals, and objectives consistent with the vision, mission, and values of the school.

EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
A degree focused on science, technology, or other STEAM related field of study preferred.
California State Teaching Credential required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Must be willing and capable to learn the Serrano language.
Knowledge of California’s Computer Science Standards, Arts Standards, and K-12 Progression, grade level academic content standards is preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with Indian Tribes is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to students and learning.
Excellent relationship-building and management skills.
Strong problem-solving and consensus-building abilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
California State Teaching Credential is required.
