Join our dedicated team at Fouquet’s New York as the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, where you will play a key role in maintaining our exceptional guest accommodations and ensuring that all areas, both front and back of house, are impeccably presented at all times. In this vital position, you will also oversee our laundry and valet services, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met through effective training and management of our Housekeeping team.
Your leadership will help control labor and operational costs without compromising quality, while fostering seamless coordination with all hotel departments.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 7 years of experience in various Operational Rooms Division management roles.
A college degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Housekeeping Department staff—conduct interviews, training, and scheduling.
- Perform performance evaluations and address any disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure effective communication regarding guest requests and special requirements.
- Develop and implement detailed cleaning and preventive maintenance programs to maintain the appearance and longevity of all furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Set and uphold high cleanliness standards, assign daily tasks to staff, and monitor their performance to ensure that standards are met and guest needs are fulfilled.
- Conduct daily inspections of all areas of responsibility and liaise directly with contracted companies to ensure quality and timely service.
- Address customer complaints with the utmost hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Respond to guest inquiries promptly and accurately, and coordinate housekeeping needs for condominium or co-op owners.
- Ensure financial objectives for the department are achieved by monitoring labor and operational expenses, maintaining accurate inventory records, and participating in regular inventories of linens, uniforms, and supplies.

Assist Director of Housekeeping prepare an annual budget for labor and operating costs and recommend items for the annual Capital Plan.
- Oversee the efficient operation of the Laundry/Valet Department and assist as needed.
- Take proactive measures regarding the safety, security, satisfaction, and well-being of both hotel guests and employees. Respond swiftly to any emergencies or safety incidents.
- Adhere to Fouquets’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
- Foster a harmonious and professional working relationship with coworkers and supervisors.
What You Bring:
A minimum of 7 years of housekeeping experience in luxury hotel environments, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity within Housekeeping or Operational Rooms Division management.
Strong strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative approach.
A genuine passion for leadership and the ability to inspire a multicultural team.
Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
Work authorization in the United States.
Schedule and Hours:
