Engineering Manager

Position Overview:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's physical structure, equipment, and operating systems. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and high-quality environment while supporting guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or Associate’s Degree preferred.

• 3+ years of supervisory maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and building systems.

• Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and troubleshooting complex systems.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lead a team, manage projects, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and schedule the engineering team.

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and preventive maintenance programs.

• Manage vendor contracts, service agreements, and capital projects.

• Ensure regulatory compliance with safety, health, and brand standards.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns.

• Monitor departmental budgets and control operating costs.

• Maintain accurate records of equipment, repairs, and inspections.

• Support emergency procedures, including fire and life safety systems.

• Perform inspections and lead energy conservation initiatives.

Work Environment:

• Work performed indoors and outdoors; exposure to varying weather conditions.

• Must be able to climb ladders, access roofs, and work in confined spaces.

• Physical role involving standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
