Restaurant Server

Position Overview:
The Part-Time Breakfast Server is responsible for providing warm, prompt, and attentive service to guests during breakfast hours. This role ensures guests enjoy a positive start to their day while maintaining the high service standards of the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced or breakfast setting.

• Strong knowledge of basic food and beverage service standards.

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and promptly take breakfast orders.

• Deliver food and beverages efficiently, ensuring accuracy and guest satisfaction.

• Maintain full knowledge of the breakfast menu, including daily specials and beverage offerings.

• Monitor guest needs, ensuring timely refills and service throughout their meal.

• Clear and reset tables quickly and neatly for incoming guests.

• Handle checks and payments according to hotel procedures.

• Keep the dining area clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout service.

• Stay knowledgeable about hotel amenities and services to assist guest inquiries.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist with light prep work or buffet setup and restocking if needed.

• Support team members by helping seat guests or perform other tasks as assigned.

• Respond to reasonable requests from supervisors or managers.

Work Environment:

• Indoor, climate-controlled restaurant setting with regular exposure to hot food, beverages, and service equipment.

• Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting of trays and dishware.

• Morning hours starting as early as 5:00am depending on business needs.
