About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic Director of Front Office to oversee all aspects of our hotel’s guest services. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to create exceptional experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees all day-to-day operations of Front Office Operations ensuring that all established front office and hotel policies are followed. Represent the hotel as Senior Leadership MOD during scheduled shifts
  • Liaise with Senior Management to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
  • Train and Develop TEAM members
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Provides assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and the hotel
  • Communicate with Department Managers on all guest and employee concerns & challenges
  • Follow-up on any guest complaints or problems a guest may experience in a timely and professional fashion to ensure a quality guest experience
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
  • Serve as the on-call leader during nights and peak times, addressing issues and making critical decisions as needed
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure staff are well-informed and motivated
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven 2+ years of Director of Front Office experience in a branded hotel environment is preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a hotel senior leadership position required
  • Hilton brand hotel experience is beneficial
  • College degree or coursework in hospitality related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and hotel-specific platforms (OnQ, Opera, Fosse, Lightspeed, HotSOS, GXP, BOB, Kipsu, Slack)
  • Fluency in English: additional languages preferred. Spanish language skills are beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High energy with effective and influential people skills. Positive attitude and the desire to motivate others
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Reliable with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Standing and walking is continuous for 4-5 hours at a time
  • Full availability is required, must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
