Peninsula Grill at Planters Inn is home to the world-famous 12-layer Ultimate Coconut Cake, a beloved Southern dessert that has captivated visitors from around the world. As the holiday season approaches, we’re seeking skilled bakers to help us keep up with the festive demand for this signature cake.
Duration: November 1 – December 31, 2024 (as needed)
Job Description:
We are hiring temporary bakers to join our team for the busy holiday season. You will assist in the preparation and baking of our famous Ultimate Coconut Cake, ensuring that each one meets our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and assemble 12-layer coconut cakes according to established recipes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of cakes
- Assist in packaging cakes for delivery or pick-up orders
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker or pastry chef
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis from November 1 – December 31, 2024
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.
