Under the direction of the Director, Surveillance Technical, the Project Manager - Surveillance is responsible for providing support and analysis for multiple projects simultaneously. Facilitates various teams to address business needs in an organized and cost-effective manner. Builds and develops project teams to ensure optimum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation. Leads projects from requirements, definition through deployment, identifies schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation strategies. Coordinates internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget. Analyzes project status and, when necessary, revises the scope, schedules, or budget to meet project requirements. Establishes and maintains relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day updates on project status and changes. Ensures all Surveillance Department system components; equipment and infrastructure are installed and operating in accordance with industry, regulatory and department standards ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements for all properties owned and operated by the Tribe.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads and manages projects including, but not limited to, new construction, remodels, new department technology, fire life safety, investigative and security. Creates or assists with project timelines, budgets, equipment lists, procurement documents, contracts and resource requirements.2. Works with Procurement department in preparing request for proposal’s (RFP) bid proposals, contracts, scope of work, build of materials, and other documentation for projects and associated efforts.3. Ownership of facilitating, planning, coordinating and processing of Yaamava’ Resort & Casino change requests, in accordance with established requirements and regulations.4. Creates and maintains camera layouts, systems schematics, diagrams and elevations drawings. Responsible for ensuring comprehensive through document organization and archiving for all projects, drawings, and department requirements.5. Facilitates and coordinates work groups with internal and/or external stakeholders to define business or functionality requirements and provide solutions. Develops build of materials projects or tasks.6. Attends or conducts team meetings and represents the Surveillance Department in all forms of communications. Collects data for projects, research files/records, prepares reports, and effectively communicates all data/reports.7. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, management, customers, and external clients representing diverse cultures and backgrounds. Demonstrates appropriate judgment when answering questions and analyzing or providing information.8. Maintains working knowledge of Surveillance Department Standard Operating Manual (SOM’s), San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission (SMTGC) and organizational policies/procedures, federal, state, and tribal regulations pertaining to enterprise and its operations. Provides testimony as subject matter expert in Gaming Commission hearings, Tribal Court, or Court of Law. Maintains working knowledge of all games offered by Yaamava’ Resort & Casino.9. Provides "on-call" support and is responsible for technical support in response to enterprise needs on 24 hour 7 day a week basis. Requires schedule flexibility to ensure goals and objectives are met which may require working extended hours.10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Project Management is required.
Minimum five (5) years project management, surveillance technical, IT or related experience, which includes at least two (2) years of direct experience managing projects required.
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Budgeting and Management is required.
Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients as well as third-party service/product providers.
Must have the ability to understand and maintain a working knowledge of Tribal Gaming Commission internal controls, casino policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and tribal regulations pertaining to the enterprise and its casino operations.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar certification preferred.

Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
