Key Responsibilities
Operations and Quality Management
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and service to exceed guest expectations.
- Inspect at least 10 rooms weekly to ensure quality control.
- Analyze operations and hold regular meetings with department heads to improve efficiency and performance.
Team Leadership and Development
- Select, train, and mentor department heads to align with company policies and operational goals.
- Delegate responsibilities and hold teams accountable to performance standards.
- Foster employee morale and motivation through recognition programs and effective communication.
Budget and Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage operating budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
- Oversee payroll performance and approve overtime requests in line with company policies.
- Manage hotel expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
Facility and Safety Management
- Ensure maintenance of all facilities and oversee capital improvements as needed.
- Conduct regular property inspections to address safety and sanitation issues.
Guest and Employee Relations
- Represent the hotel positively in the community and with guests.
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Establish a supportive environment for all employees.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Hotel General Manager or equivalent leadership role.
- Leadership: Proven ability to build cohesive teams, inspire confidence, and drive business results.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage internal teams and external partners.
- Education: Operational knowledge of all aspects of hotel management, including budget and accounting.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and revenue management.
