Programme requirements

  • You have been out of the workplace for 18 months

  • What will I be doing?

    You will join the Sales and Events Team, working in the largest commercial office across EMEA and supporting 10 Hilton hotels in and around the London region.

    JOB DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE:           The Returnship Programme will provide key insight on Conference & Events in a commercial Hotel/Business office. During the internship, they will learn about Hilton and our values as well as getting a great understanding of the Conference & Events business in Hilton. Some key areas of development are around; understanding the customer journey and how to handle enquiries, updating our system with new bookings, prepare contracts for events, support the Hotels with administration, reporting, communication of commercial data and any further ad hoc related tasks.

    Tasks

    Support Team & Hotels with reporting Support Team (members) with administration tasks Understand commercial data and how to communicate to the Team Presentations ahead of Team Meetings Take on new event enquiries and propose for those events, to win the business Ad hoc event planning of small events Support reservations team with their inbox Support Hotels with commission invoices

    What are we looking for?

    • Good organisational and administration skills
    • Positive attitude and good communication skills
    • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
    • Confident telephone manner
    • Able to perform IT tasks
    • Excellent grooming standards
    • Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English
    • Demonstrated previous experience working in a Sales/Commercial/Admin environment

    It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

    • Knowledge of the hotels management systems
    • Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference and Events function
    • Qualification, degree, or certification in a relevant field
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
    • Passionate about sales, events and events planning
    • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
