Kitchen / HVAC Technician

Summary of Position:

The Kitchen / HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining all kitchen equipment throughout the resort, perform all repairs and maintenance on kitchen related disciplines, including but not limited to: dishwashers, stoves, ovens, dish machines, steamer, toasters, salamanders, etc. This position will also work with the Senior HVAC technicians and assist in the repair and maintenance of our resort HVAC equipment as time allows.  

Essential Functions:

• Perform all kitchen repairs on all dish washers, stoves, ovens, deep fryers, tilt skillets, and all other kitchen equipment as required.
• Meet with the Chef’s in all the kitchens once per shift to see if they have any maintenance requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all kitchen equipment including reach-in and walk-in coolers and freezers. This includes all the documentation and use of preventative that is performed.
• As necessary and as time allows work with Senior HVAC technician outside of the kitchen preforming repairs and maintenance on all HVAC equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Perform general maintenance duties as assigned including operating forklifts, motor vehicles, jacks and hoists.
• Other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Assistant Director of Property Operations,  Director of Property Operations or another Arizona Grand Resort Manager.

 Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma is preferred.

Experience: Experience with all maintenance trades required.

Certificates or Licenses: NA

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades including electrical, plumbing, water chemistry, and natural gas properties as well as the related use of hand and power tools.
• Skills in the use of related tools including hand and power tools
• Mathematical skills necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and push and pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds, carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk around a large Resort for the majority of the work period
• Ability to climb ladders and work at height up to 30 feet for extended periods
• Ability to memorize and perform Arizona Grand Resort Standards and mystery shopper standards
