Summary:This position will be responsible for greeting guests arriving at the pool; in addition to tending to the cleanliness of the pool deck and providing quality guest service to the members and guests at our main resort pool. Customer service skills are important in this role. Monitor the activity of guests. Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, including answering questions and addressing concerns.

Essential Job Functions:  Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Clean and prepare chairs, lounges, tables and umbrellas, from debris, sunscreen & natures droppings .

Scrub pool tiles and under hot tubs. Brush and vacuum pool and hot tubs.

Update conditions board as needed.

Keep pool areas clean of dishes, glasses and trash at all times.

Provide pool towels to guests.

Collect and return pool towels to the laundry for washing.

Maintain pool chairs, lounges and umbrellas in clean, working condition.

Report maintenance and safety concerns in a timely manner.

Clear all trash and bring to proper disposal areas

Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck floors from trash and other objects

Must be able to life 50 pounds

Place towels in guest chairs.

Filter backwash (as needed) and perform chemical and water level maintenance.

Open towel cabana for guests and provide guest services including rentals and sales of products.

Update conditions board as needed.

Keep pool area clean of dishes, glasses and trash at all times.

Maintain control of pool towels by using the pool towel-tracking sheet.

Maintain pool chairs, lounges and umbrellas in clean, working condition.

Report maintenance and safety concerns in a timely manner.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts, weekends and holidays

Assist with pool parties and events as needed

Qualification: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hospitality experience preferred. Knowledge of pool cleaning and general pool maintenance is a plus but will train quality individual.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Individuals must be able to communicate in English and be able to express themselves accurately and concisely.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations, in a quick, courteous manner.

Work Habits: In order to maintain a positive guest and associate experience, your work habits should always meet and strive to exceed hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality and attendance.  You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Safety & Security: The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent.  Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
