Restaurant Server

We are looking for a Restaurant Server to join the Hyatt Centric-Arlington team. The Restuarant Server is responsible for providing prompt, courteous service for the guest. In addition, they are responsible for the cleanliness and restaurant functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to meet the needs of others and the Food and Beverage team and be customer service orientated.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer service/server experience, hotel restaurant experience preferred. With food and beverage service knowledge and terminology

Desired for exceeding customer satisfaction

Strong communication skills.

POS knowledge

Ability to adhere and implement cleanliness health codes

Availability for both AM/PM shifts, including weekends and holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Seat all guests in a timely and courteous fashion. Clear extra settings if not needed. Present menu to each guest. Guests must be immediately

recognized when entering the restaurant

Interact with guest to take drink and food orders.

Pre- bussing and keeping a keen

Answer telephone and take reservations

Must be knowledgeable about hotel amenities and current/upcoming events.

Keep work area/podium clean and organized. Menus should be wiped down at the end of each shift and replaced if wrinkled or soiled.

Communicate with kitchen and staff to ensure steady flow of dining guests.

Handle all checks and cash according to procedures

Demonstrate food and beverage knowledge, such as menus and beverage paring or availability.

Assist the servers with customer needs

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.

As time allows, walk around restaurant and check on guests. Refill water, push in stools, wipe down high tops, always keeping an eye on podium.
