Room Attendant - Housekeeping

Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms to ensure

they meet the hotel's cleanliness and quality standards. This role involves performing various cleaning

tasks, handling guest requests, and ensuring a pleasant experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Room Cleaning:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Replenish guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens.

2. Guest Requests:

• Respond to guest requests for additional items such as extra towels or bedding.
• Address any issues or concerns reported by guests in their rooms.

3. Inventory Management:

• Monitor and manage the stock of cleaning supplies and guest room amenities.
• Report any shortages or issues with supplies to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

4. Quality Control:

• Ensure that all rooms meet the hotel's quality and cleanliness standards before guests check in.
• Report any maintenance issues or damage in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

5. Health and Safety:

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly and safely.

6. Communication:

• Communicate effectively with the Housekeeping Supervisor and other team members.
• Provide feedback on guest room conditions and any special requests.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
