Hotel Hugo is looking for New Guest Service Managers!
Compensation: 60K - 63K, Full-Time, Varies
Job description **** Local Candidates only. Please do not contact the hotel without an invitation ****

Duties and responsibilities: however not limited to,

Ø Clear and concise communication with all upper management

Ø Must be able to work in a busy and sometimes hectic environment with competence, grace, and professionalism

Ø When on shift you are responsible for the safety and security of the entire property in the event of any emergencies. Oversee all emergencies and make prompt decisions based on the best interest of our guests and establishment

Ø Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation

Ø Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., spa services, transportation, religious services, babysitting, financial services, business center services, interpretation services, reservations, dry cleaning, entertainment/sporting events, shopping) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers

Ø Empowered to handle guest complaints and provide additional amenities to guests as needs arise

Ø Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the Director of Operations

Ø Provide team with support and coaching to Guest Service Agents & Bellman

Ø Enhance team member morale, supporting, and embracing a team atmosphere, and leading by example

Ø Maintain front office standards by providing exceptional guest service, and completing guest transactions, including guest inquiries, arrivals, and departures

Ø Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees and always communicate with the Director of Operations

Ø Coach and guide Agent & Bellman's performance with consistency and fairness, while communicating to the Director of Operations about staff performance

Ø Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards

Requirements & Qualifications

Ø Must have OPEN availability to work shifts needed based on the business. 

Ø Hotel Supervisory experience required – must have at least 1 full year of hotel supervisory experience within the last 4 years.

Ø Additionally, to 2 years working in hotels for the last 4years.

Ø The ability to demonstrate exceptional Customer Service Skills

Ø Must be proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office

Ø Able to work long hours as sometimes required

Ø Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times

Ø Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner

Ø Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests

Ø Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines

Ø Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner

Priority consideration is given to, in no particular order:

Ø NYC Hotel experience

Ø Multilingual

Ø Opera Cloud PMS experience

Ø Multidepartment experience
