Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and organized Barback to support our bartenders and ensure smooth bar operations. In this vital role, you will help maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency behind the bar, ensuring bartenders can focus on delivering exceptional service to our guests. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders with bar setup and closing procedures, ensuring all supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Clean and polish glassware, utensils, and bar tools to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Stock and replenish bar supplies such as ice, garnishes, drinkware, straws, and napkins for uninterrupted service.
• Prepare and restock fruit garnishes, condiments, and beverage ingredients as needed.
• Remove empty glasses, bottles, and debris from the bar area, keeping the workspace clean and organized.
• Replenish beer kegs and replace them when necessary to ensure a constant supply of draft beer.
• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks by retrieving ingredients, operating equipment (e.g., blenders), and helping with pouring and garnishing.
• Monitor inventory levels by conducting stock checks and reporting shortages or discrepancies to management.
• Collaborate with bartenders and servers to ensure efficient service, responding promptly to requests and communicating any guest feedback.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of materials, cleaning procedures, and maintaining sanitation standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment by cleaning up spills, disposing of waste, and reporting maintenance or equipment issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Barback or in a similar support role in a bar or restaurant preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy kegs, move supplies, and stand for extended periods.
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail to keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Teamwork: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and customer service.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of drink recipes, bar equipment, and glassware is an advantage.
• Health & Safety: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and commitment to complying with relevant procedures.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Guidelines:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
