Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic AM Line Cook to join our culinary team at Fat Rooster. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to meet health department standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all workstations are clean and stocked.
• Efficiently execute prep and production work assignments, meeting time requirements for service.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate order production.
• Learn and master all menu items, ensuring the ability to cook each dish to specification.
• Assist with batch and quantity cooking for larger events or functions as needed.
• Monitor food stock and communicate inventory needs to the kitchen management team.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale hotel or restaurant operation.
• Certification: Serve Safe Certified or equivalent food safety certification required.
• Skills: Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and roasting.
• Teamwork: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
• Professionalism: High level of professionalism, communication, and hospitality skills.
• Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Guidelines:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent movement.

Work Hours:

• Full-time position with flexible scheduling, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
