The Revenue Management Consolidated Center (RMCC) offers owned, managed, and franchised hotels world-class revenue management, sales talent, and tools. The team is responsible for helping hotels grow market share and outperform our competitors. Today, the RMCC supports over 2,400 hotels in the Americas with a team of over 400 revenue and sales professionals.

What will I be doing?

As the Senior Director, RMCC Americas, you will report to the RMCC Americas leader, and your primary function will be the operational, financial, and strategic oversight of the franchised hotels in the RMCC. Responsibilities include operational direction of the RMCC and our product offerings, market share results, and overall commercial success of a supported portfolio of hotels, all while crafting an outstanding culture guided by team member engagement.

You will have further responsibilities including the hiring and training of Team Members; the education of management groups regarding the benefits of the consolidated revenue management; the management of existing team members and hotels; the growth of new hotels into the RMCC; the daily management of the relationship between the hotels, RMCC Team Members, AVP’s, SVP’s, brand management, ownership, and management groups; and contribute to the RMCC operating budget. You will also be responsible for communication of Hilton Revenue Management standards to the hotels and RMCC Team Members, auditing for accurate application of these standards and applicable RMCC SOPs, training, and the measurement of hotel revenue performance against established goals and forecasts.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Build the strategies and directions for RMCC, evaluating efforts to ensure the success of the organization
  • Implement business opportunities for RMCC and pursue a course of action
  • Help advance RMCC's goals, while supporting and directing communication plans of important messages to internal and external partners
  • Contribute to the short- and long-term goals for the RMCC that support the annual operational plan, including long-term growth plan
  • Co-design the appropriate objectives of the RMCC and advise the methodologies by which those objectives will be accomplished
  • Implement the direction given by the executive management to ensure the strategic direction of the RMCC team is consistent with and supported by Human Resources, Legal, and Finance
  • Direct the development and administration of the RMCC, including recruitment and placement of new hotels
  • Maintain the relationship of hotels in the RMCC with all relevant internal and external partners
  • Manage the departmental team members by providing direction and directives regarding the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities, and achieving management objectives
  • Lead the directives of our objectives and demonstrate them by building an outstanding culture through group dynamics, and leadership
  • Educate Brand Performance Managers, Hotel General Managers, Hotel Management Staff, and Hotel Ownership on the benefits of the Consolidated Revenue Management model
  • Translate organizational objectives into performance standards for the division, departments, and individual positions
  • Assess actual RevPAR performance against goals to resolve whether the department is on target to reach its goals and take corrective actions when vital
  • Ensure the business plan and goals are being followed and achieved, providing feedback or revising the plan
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to improve the operation and efficiency
  • Review and make appropriate adjustments in activities and expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure efficient financial results

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Direct the grouping of and assignment of tasks to the team, while ensuring optimal allocation of resources
  • Lead effective partnerships with the Revenue Analyst team, Brand Management teams, Hotel Performance Support teams, Regional Sales teams, Regional Operations team, and other internal Hilton corporate partners
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and development of talent to achieve strategic goals and performance
  • Work with direct reports on goals to help accomplish department initiatives and career objectives

What initiatives you will take ownership of:

  • Partner and help lead the RMCC’s financial goals and the annual budget
  • Implement measurements of RevPAR and RevPAR Index goals for RMCC hotels to ensure effectiveness, usage, and awareness
  • Direct and ensure accurate controls are being put into place to ensure that RMCC hotel's RevPAR and RevPAR index goals are being achieved

Requirements

What are we looking for?

Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Experience in team management and oversight of hotel commercial leaders.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in revenue management, hospitality management, sales, marketing, or distribution roles
  • Five (5) years of cross-functional experience in a Hotel or Corporate leadership role with people and team leadership skills in a matrixed environment.
  • Four (4) years of experience leading teams including manager-level and above employees
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, and schedule changes as required.

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Ten (10) years of experience in Hotel Revenue Management and Regional Revenue Management oversight
  • Six (6) years of cross-functional experience in Hotel Commercial Management
  • Management Experience of Supervisor/Manager: 10 People
