Restaurant Busser

JOB SUMMARY

The Restaurant Busser plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

•Clearing and resetting tables efficiently and promptly after guests depart.

•Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including floors, tables, chairs, and any other surfaces.

•Assisting servers in delivering food and beverages to tables when necessary.

•Preparing tables for new guests, ensuring they are properly set with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments.

•Assisting in stocking and replenishing supplies such as silverware, glassware, and condiments.

•Provide assistance to guests with inquiries and special requests courteously and promptly.

•Collaborating with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.

•Following all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.

•Communicating effectively with team members and management to address any issues or concerns.

•Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.

•Assists other restaurant personnel when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

•Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.

•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

•Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.

•Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as needed.

•Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation guidelines. Hold a current Food Handler Card.

•Must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing exceptional service to guests.

•Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

•Basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate simple instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

•Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.   

•Lifting thirty (30) pounds maximum.

•Constant standing & walking required.

•Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing and smiling.
