Spa Treatment Lead

Job Title: Spa Treatment Lead (Part-Time)
Department: Resort Spa
Reports To: Assistant Spa Manager

Summary:
The primary objective of the Lead is to ensure the smooth operation of the spa and salon staff while maintaining customer satisfaction, quality service delivery, ensuring products are in stock, and the facility and environment are maintained in accordance with company expectations.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have complete supervisory responsibilities but does coordinate the activities of other treatment personnel on a shift and acts as "Spa Manager on duty" in the absence of the Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists with maintaining budgetary guidelines for poker, spa and salon departments.
• Provides coverage and administrative support as requested.
• Maintains proficiency in all modalities of their respective department.
• Updates and maintains all training manuals.
• Updates and maintains all Safety Data Sheets.
• Maintains all professional areas of the spa in compliance with OSHA standards and ensures the spa is ready for any USPHS and HIS health and safety inspections.
• Solves problems as necessary or as requested.
• Ensures all therapist licenses are current, accurate and all refresher training required is fulfilled on schedule.
• Maintains perpetual inventory by notifying manager of product needs and by assisting with creating orders for all professional products in the poker and spa department on a regular basis as needed.
• Completes regular inventory checks of all treatment rooms to assess shrinkage, product usage, and ensure proper equipment maintenance has been conducted.
• Informs spa management immediately for any needs or repairs in the massage and esthetics area.
• Completes walk through of the massage and esthetics areas on a scheduled basis ensuring all areas are neat and clean at all times and properly presented for customer arrivals.
• Oversees the spa reception staff in the absence of the spa manager or assistant manager.
• Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements commonly known as PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance by attending training provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management. Signature verification of course attendance will be required.
• Responsible for following the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance regulations to protect card holder data and adhere to the standards to protect guests’ private card information. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting inappropriate card handling activity, of either customers or by employees, as defined by PCI.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid state massage license accredited by the governing board of Arizona required.
• Massage training from an accredited school required.
•  At least three years’ experience in an upscale resort spa is required.
• Previous lead experience is preferred.
• Candidates for lead must be in good standing and not have prior disciplinary action relating to violations of conduct or poor job performance in the prior 12 months.
• Candidates must be capable of performing all treatment modalities.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent PC skills and broad knowledge of current and standard software applications and hotel systems (Microsoft Office, Visual One, etc.).

Language Skills
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, lean and walk for prolonged periods of time; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
