Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Prepares food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment at all times during Peninsula Grill Dinner shift.

JOB DUTIES:

* Keep area clean according to Board of Health standards.
* Follow directions for food preparation.
* Desire to achieve a consistent level of perfection in food preparation in order to have uniformity in presentation and waste management.
* Attend team briefings.
* Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
* Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
* Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure
* Must be able to read, communicate effectively in English

Training
* Complete all assigned trainings.

Education

*High school education or equivalent and/or college degree in an accredited culinary program

*Minimum of 1 - 2 years food service or related experience, preferably in a four-star restaurant or hotel 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Able to work overtime as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk and regularly move about kitchen, bend, remain stationary for short periods of time, reach, hear, see, talk, grasp, perform repetitive motions and use fingers 
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move carts, food cases, metros, and similar items weighing up to 70 lbs.
