ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Make repairs to building and ground equipment. (HVAC, etc…) (20%)
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the building.  (20%)
• Replace TVs, cable boxes, and other equipment as needed.  (10%)
• Replace light switches and perform other basic electrical tasks.  (10%)
• Paint inside and outside as needed.  (10%)
• Replace pipes and perform other basic plumbing tasks.  (10%)
• Respond to room maintenance calls as requested.  (20%)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  

Education:   Trade school preferred.

Experience:  Prior experience in various building trades required. 

Must also be a member of Local 399 and be a Licensed Stationary Engineer (Chicago Department of Buildings). 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to repair and maintain various pieces of building and grounds equipment
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment and various tools
• Illinois swimming pool operator's certificate would be preferred
