Line Cook (PM)

Job Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for meal preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. Work schedules include weekends and holidays as per business requirements.

Job Duties:

- Prepare meals for hotel dining and events, following food safety guidelines.

- Manage food costs and portion control while maintaining quality standards.

- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization.

- Fulfill guest special requests and maintain a clean workspace ("clean as you go").

- Assist with inventory and cost-related reports as needed.

- Uphold sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.

- Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and other staff regarding kitchen needs.

- Monitor menu items and cost special menu requests.

- Assist in food preparation while maintaining cleanliness.

Minimum Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Minimum two years of hospitality or restaurant food service experience.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong communication skills; ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, and colleagues.

- Diplomatic handling of challenging situations with consistent professionalism.

- Able to come in for 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM shift.
