As a Concessions Lead Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring the readiness and quality of specialty food stand offerings by cooking, prepping, and delivering food while leading a small team. Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and cook a variety of food items following recipe guidelines and using proper techniques, including knife skills, meat cutting, frying, baking, salad making, and wrap assembly
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, such as combi ovens and fryers, ensuring they are in proper working condition
  • Delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient kitchen operations, maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation while preventing cross-contamination and managing food allergens
  • Take and record food temperatures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations, and communicate regularly with the concession management team to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in creating new menu ideas and specialty items, ensuring all foods are prepared and ready for service in specialty food stands

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred 
  • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and performing various cooking techniques 
  • Ability to follow recipes and understand food abbreviations 
  • Basic math skills for measurements and inventory management 
  • Knowledge of food allergens and cross-contamination prevention 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand for long periods, including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. or more.
  • Exposed to variable temperatures, depending on the season; may work frequently in a hot, damp, or very cold environment.
