Assistant General Manager
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting in maximizing hotel value by achieving revenue growth, expense control, outstanding product quality, guest service and employee satisfaction through overall leadership, guidance and direction of the hotel management team within the framework of company policies and procedures and brand standards.

  • Variable schedule; Must be available on weekends and holidays
  • Tuesday - Saturday
Rate Of Pay
  • $75K to $85K / DOE
Supplemental Pay

Qualifications Knowledge Of
  • Hotel operations and departmental interdependencies.
  • Hotel accounting principles.
  • Basic math, budgeting, and profit/loss concepts.
  • Hotel Management Experience
  • Hotel experience in a minimum of two different departments
  • Experience managing front office, concierge, and sales combined with some experience in housekeeping, or food and beverage
  • Food and Beverage Experience (server, supervisor, department head)
Preferable
  • Select Service Assistant Manager or General Manager
  • Previous experience as a Director of Rooms or Operations Manager
Skill And Ability To
  • Establish and maintain effective professional, courteous, constructive relationships with guests, staff, and management team.
  • Maintain decorum in stressful situations.
  • Make decisions guided by established policy and procedures; analyze activities and information to arrive at logical conclusions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing to convey information effectively.
  • Adapt to constantly changing situations and personalities ensuring quality service to all guests.
  • Successfully hire, train, and motivate staff.
  • Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and maintain 24-hour availability via cell phone.
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of previous experience as a Guest Service Manager in the hospitality industry.
Physical Requirements Light Work
 – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. This work requires the following physical activities: Standing, pulling, grasping, seeing, crouching, lifting, hearing, reaching, pushing, repetitive motions, and talking. This work is performed primarily indoors.
