Fitness Center Attendant

Lakewood Country Club is seeking a Fitness Attendant who is passionate about providing the highest levels of customer service. We are a team built around adaptability, professionalism, ethic and work integrity, communication, and teamwork. The Fitness Attendant is responsible for interacting with Members in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner thereby providing consistently excellent Member Experiences.

Essential Functions: 

The Ideal Fitness Attendant Candidate

• proactively welcomes and registers all Members to the Fitness Center
• strives to recognize and address all Members by name
• assists Members in all aspects of fitness and well-being including orientation to the exercise equipment
• has an interest in becoming knowledgeable about Spa Treatments and Services
• has the ability to schedule Spa Treatments and Services in a manner which maximizes availability within the treatment schedule
• utilizes the computer system in running daily reports, posting charges and communicating to other departments any necessary information
• tabulates and submits orders for supplies and equipment required to maintain daily operations
• maintains a safe working environment and abides by all health department regulations
• recognizes and responds calmly and effectively in hazardous or emergency situations, should a situation arise
• is dedicated to monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of the Fitness Center
• assists with maintaining a high level of organization
• handles all Member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating requests whenever possible
• resolves Member complaints and inquiries and punctually reports all interactions to management
• is the ever-gracious host providing Members with beverages, fruit, and towels throughout the day
• an enthusiastic team player with the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions
• displays a high work ethic and a sense of responsibility for their role within our team
• works harmoniously and professionally with all Members and colleagues
• will be an ambassador for the Club by displaying a friendly, outgoing personality, and courteous attitude

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

Able to Work Independently and be Self-Motivated

Well Developed Verbal Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Able to Operate Computer and Reservation Systems

Able to Follow Instructions and Procedures

Able to Sit, Stand, and Walk up to 8 hours.

Able to Lift and Carry up to 45 pounds
