Pool Bar Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION: The Server is responsible for accurately describing the menu, selling, upselling and delivering food and drinks to the guest at the pool.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

·High school diploma or equivalent.

·Two years restaurant experience.

·Good food and service knowledge.

·Pleasant personality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Interact with guests to take drink and food orders. Describe menu format, individual food items and bar items to guests.

2. Maintaining pool area, keeping area clean & tidy and stocked.

2. Communicate with kitchen for food ordering.

3. Ensure prompt delivery of food to the guest’s table.

4. Have working knowledge of liquor, beer, wine and food that is served at the Resort. Suggest pairings of food to wine or beer.

5. Keeping inventory of Pool Bar Beer, wine, & liquor.

6. Able to make weekly drink specials.

5. Handle all checks and cash according to procedures.

6. Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.

2. Help out in other areas of the restaurant, including seating guests.

ENVIRONMENT:

Indoor and outdoor fast paced environment with vinyl, carpet and cement surfaces.
