WHO are we looking for, you may ask?

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, we are in search of a dynamic Housekeeping Supervisor who is responsible for assisting in the supervision and control of the Guest Room and Laundry Attendants, as well as for the cleanliness, arrangement, and supply of all guest rooms in an assigned section. The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to provide leadership and support to associates, ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel and guest rooms according to brand and company standards.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests and associates alike, setting a shining example for our team.
  • Deal promptly and effectively with guest complaints and requests.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas on a daily basis to ensure standards of cleanliness.
  • Support the laundry operation as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing training of all housekeeping employees to increase job knowledge and skill level.
  • Promote teamwork and employee morale.
  • Assist in running pre-shift meetings, distributing keys and board assignments, and opening and closing the house, including preparing reports.
  • Communicate all policies and procedures for housekeeping and special cleaning projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of linen rooms, laundry area, lost and found, storage rooms, uniform room, associate break room, and Room Attendant’s carts.
  • Ensure ready status of all rooms daily, maintaining key control.
  • Clean guest rooms as needed due to business levels and/or sick calls or vacation coverage.
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance needs and complete service requests as needed.
  • Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Practice safety standards at all times, leading by example.

WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, ARE YOU …

  • An experienced professional with a minimum of two years’ experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead in a housekeeping or cleaning department, preferably in a similar sized hotel property.
  • A Hospitality or Tourism program graduate or degree holder.
  • Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to Safety.
  • Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team.
  • An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently.
  • Agile, able to shift priorities as needed, including handling guest or associate situations that may occur, covering shifts as necessary.
  • Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Physically able to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds or more, such as guest luggage, packages or furniture.
