Summer Camp Counselor and Birthday Party Attendant

Position:  Summer Camp Clinic Counselor and/or Birthday Party Attendant  

Report To:  Pool Managers

Salary: $12-$15 hourly 

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Pool Managers, the Summer Clinic Counselor/Birthday Party Attendant is directly responsible for the safety of camp attendees as well as facilitating Member birthday parties. 

Responsibilities:

• Greet and acknowledge Members and guests in a timely manner and report complaints to management as they occur.

• Knowledge of and ability to preform required role during emergency situations. 

• Provide a comfortable, safe, and non-threatening environment for children. 

• Supervise children’s activities and follow instructions of the Golf and Tennis Pros. 

• Ensure that children are safely lead form one camp activity to another. 

• Support the facilitation of camp activities during each camp event. 

• Help to take children to and from the restroom. 

• Ensuring that correct lunches are being distributed according to dietary restrictions. 

• Ensure any medical or allergy needs are effectively communicated. 

• Facilitate check in and check out each day. 

• Distribute appropriate camp giveaways to each attendee. 

• Ensure that BEO instructions are followed, and birthday parties are set up prior to guests arriving. 

• Gather all supplies, food, and drinks for the party. 

• Keep track if tickets for all extra drinks and give to management after the party to ring. 

• Maintain an accurate record of Birthday party attendees. 

• Ensure that the party is broken down and cleaned up afterwards. 

• Preforms other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Management team. 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds. 

• First Aid/ CPR/ AED Certified 

• The employee is routinely required to be outside and stand for long periods of time. 

Scheduling Requirements:

Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays – based on the level of Club Activities.
