Pool Waitstaff Supervisor

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Pool Managers, the Pool Supervisor is directly responsible for assisting run the pools day to day operations. Responsibilities include assisting Pool Managers with day to day scheduling, helping train employees, directing employees during opening and closing, and keeping up the appearance of the Pool deck. 

Position:  Waitstaff Pool Supervisor  

Report To: Pool Managers

Salary: $16-20 hourly 

Responsibilities:

• Greet and acknowledge Members and guests in a timely manner and report complaints to management as they occur. 

• Assist in handling Member complaints and reporting any issues to the manager on duty. 

• Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends improvements for pool establishments, standard operating procedures, and customer service to the Pool Managers. 

• Attend weekly pool supervisors’ meetings. 

• Assist in the opening and closing of the pool. Ensure that all tasks are complete before the pool opens and at the end of the day before all staff members are released. 

• Generally, oversee all pool and snack bar operations and be available for staff members to ask questions. 

• Assist in the training of Pool Staff Members. 

• Attend staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions and training as required. 

• Complete other appropriate work assignments as requested by supervisors. 

• Assist the Pool Managers in the management of the Lifeguards and Waitstaff employees.

• Complete day to day scheduling for the shifts, including Waitstaff rotation and break times. 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Completion of Serve Safe and TABC if 18 or older 

• The employee is routinely required to stand for long periods of time. 

Scheduling Requirements:

Mornings, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays – based on the level of Club Activities.
