Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a full-time Cash Room Clerk to join our team at Grand Canyon National Park in Grand Canyon, Arizona. As a Cash Room Clerk, you’ll be responsible for all counting, balancing, and reconciling of cash and credit card payments. What will you do?
- Receive cash deposits from various departments.
- Accurately count and verify cash amounts against accompanying paperwork.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or suspicious transactions
- Prepare daily bank deposits, including proper sorting and packaging of cash
- Adhere to strict cash handling procedures and security protocols.
- Monitor the cash room for unauthorized access and maintain secure storage of cash.
- Other duties as assigned.
More about you
- Requires a minimum of 6 months related accounting and cash room experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records
- Prior cash room or cash handling experience
- High level of integrity and reliability in handling cash
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Ability to use MS Excel functions including sorting and filtering, pivot tables , and necessary formulas to produce understandable information from raw data.
- Provide courteous and professional responses in person, over the phone, and by email.
Physical requirements
- Work is primarily performed stationary, seated at desk with walking, bending, lifting, reaching necessary to perform functionsof position.
- Location is on the second floor requiring ability to climb and descend stairs on a regular basis, several times each day.
- Requires ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
