Night Audit Overview:

Night Audit is a very important role within the hotel function.  Working the overnight hours (11pm-7am) is not easy.  This candidate needs to be self-motivated, disciplined and be an organized individual.  The night audit position will welcome guests, oversee processing and reconciling the daily receipts as well as preparing guests bills.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Preforming guests check in and check outs. 

  • Respond to guests needs and requests.

  • Securing payment, verifying, and adjusting the bills as needed. 

  • Handling accounting of money, receipts, guests accounts and credit through operation of the FD computer system and completion of reports required to ensure the companies funds are secure. 

  • Close out the day for both front desk and food and beverage computer systems. 

  • Summarizing the nights operations and communication with the necessary departments.

  • Ensures rollover from one business day to the next.  

Job Requirements:

Andover Inn is a New England inn located about 25 miles north of Boston, MA on the 500-acre campus of Phillips Academy, one of the oldest private secondary boarding schools in the United States. Built in 1930 and fully renovated in 2010, Andover Inn offers 30 modern guest rooms.

Andover Inn offers its guests a unique experience in an intimate setting and is the ideal location for a weekend getaway, family celebration, or corporate retreat.  We are located within walking distance to the center of Andover, Massachusetts, where the town gives its visitors a “metro-suburban” experience featuring trendy shopping, foodie experiences, and local New England charm.  With easy access to major highways I-495 and I-93, the Inn is just 30 minutes from Boston.

After careful consideration, Phillips Academy has decided to suspend operations of Samuel’s Restaurant as of July 31, 2024. We understand this news is disappointing, and we want to express our sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to create memorable experiences for our guests, as well as to the community for their enduring support. The pause in operations affects only Samuels Restaurant. The Andover Inn will remain open—all overnight accommodations and events will continue without interruption.
