Description
As a Director, Technology Planning & Delivery - Asia Pacific (APACx, excluding Greater China & Mongolia), you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, implementing, solutions, and services to support Hilton’s business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to learn the Hilton tech stack, assess existing system capabilities, develop scalable digital solutions, and deliver to product requirements.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Technical Feasibility and Delivery
- Conduct technical feasibility analysis and drive the delivery of channel and platform capabilities across Hilton’s own and partner channels
- Lead agile platform development projects, including creating architecture, sequence diagrams, and network and data flow diagrams, while collaborating with security and compliance functions
- Lead the implementation of digital solutions, working closely with development teams and external partners/vendors
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards
Technology Evaluation and Innovation
- Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and tools to support digital technology initiatives
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and proposing innovative solutions to product and business challenges
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve digital capabilities
Solution Design and Development
- Partner with our global and regional technical teams to lead the design and implementation of technical projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Collaborate and co-create architecture outcomes including application architecture, data architecture, integration architecture, and infrastructure architecture that integrates with Hilton core systems to enable frictionless hotel processes
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations
- Foster collaboration and alignment between product stakeholders, development teams, and other cross-functional groups
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on technical strategies and initiatives
Governance and Compliance
- Partner with the enterprise solutions architecture team to establish and enforce IT architecture governance processes, standards, and policies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across IT initiatives
- Work with global and regional cybersecurity team in ensuring proposed solutions meet cybersecurity and data protection requirements
Requirements
WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT
You have these minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of professional work experience in technology or a related field
- 10 years of India work experience building, leading, and managing technical teams
- 5 years of experience in technology leadership role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support concurrent projects
- Ability to conduct technical feasibility and size up technical effort in both man-day and complexity
- Identify emerging technologies and trends that can enhance Hilton’s operations and guest experiences
- Proactively manage, and provide regular project updates to multiple stakeholder groups
- Travel up to 40%
- Strong knowledge of travel or hospitality technology systems including booking platforms, customer engagement tools
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to take on new roles, tasks, and projects as the company and position evolve
