Assistant Director of Finance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintain all contracts, leases, permits, licenses, and other legal and financial records.

Implement and support property operating policies and procedures.

Operate in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and government regulations.

Ensure compliance with property Hotel Management Agreement.

Coordinate all internal financial training and development of department heads and managers.

Responsible for coordination, execution and action necessary for monthly meetings and audits, including but not limited to credit meetings, cash audits, ledger reviews, etc...

Accountable for bi-payroll processing and recording of hours and wages.

Participation of month end closing and reconciliation processes.

Reconciliation and submission of monthly state, local, and use taxes.

Assist with annual external audits and testing requests.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent.

College degree in Accounting or Finance.

Six years on the job experience in hotel accounting setting.

Four years’ experience as an Assistant Director of Finance within a hotel setting.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Exceptional organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines.
