The beautiful Hilton Atlanta is seeking a full-time Bartender-In-Training/Service Bartender to join their team at Trader Vic's! This is a 1200 room property located in the heart of downtown, connected via skywalk to Peachtree Center mall and the MARTA Station.

This position will be a Bartender-In-Training role for the first 90 days of employment and then will become the Service Bartender for our tiki restaurant, Trader Vic's! Ideal candidates for this position will have previous bartending experience (minimum one year), as well as a passion for craft cocktails and the ability to learn a large menu of drinks!

Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work the 3 pm to 11 pm shift, any day of the week/weekends/holidays as needed

What will I be doing?

As a Bartender-In-Training/Service Bartender, you would be responsible for preparing for preparing and servicing the hotel bar, as well as training to prepare/serve beverages and serving beverages and/or food to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Retrieve orders from storeroom, visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re-check stock upon delivery
• Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices and storing back-up supplies in prescribed containers
• Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
• Transport taps and replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators and storage areas in accordance with federal, state, local and company codes
• Greet guests and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards, present and serve beverages to guests
• Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with federal, state, local and company laws and regulations
• Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards and vouchers
• Respond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed
