Description

The Tempo New York Times Square is looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our team. Our stylish 661-room hotel is in Times Square, steps from restaurants, shops, and Broadway theaters. Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Station are within one mile.  

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a unionized team, housekeeping supervisory or management experience, a flexible schedule (including weekends and holidays), and experience working with spreadsheets.

Shift Pattern:Full availability needed including weekends and holidays

Salary: $75,000 / annually

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Manager, you would be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations.  

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

• Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.
• Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage daily systems use and management, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation.
• Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations, and delivering recognition and reward.
• Oversee and conduct room inspections.
• Recruit, interview, and train team members.
