Job Title: Team Lead

Status:     Non-Exempt

Job Summary: 

Train Cashiers (in addition to working Cashier shifts).  Know how to prep all beverages, stock merchandise for following day, and operate all front of the house machines.  In addition, maintain brand cleaning standards in the front of the house areas.  The Team Leader is the face of Paris Baguette and is to assure all customers receive friendly, fast, and accommodating guest service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assure all customers receive excellent guest service following Paris Baguette’s high standard of excellence.
  • Check the quality of all the products for displays and assure “FIFO” is being maintained.
  • Know and be able to train new hires how to enter customer’s order and locate orders in the POS.
  • Know how to process voids/refunds and contact third party ordering platforms, if needed.
  • Create a productive team-work environment.
  • Assure food safety guidelines are be maintained.
  • Know and be able to train new hires how to make beverages and batches per brand recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness during business hours, including storage areas.
  • Refill and organize all pasties and beverages on display. Special attention to seasonal transitions.
  • Assist unloading and organizing deliveries (up to twice a week)
  • Assure all catering orders are timely and acutely processed.
  • For Opening Shifts and Closing Shifts: Adhere to daily checklist.
  • Train new team members in all tasks associated with job roles.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings with staff for daily deployment and updates.
  • Track attendance on a weekly basis and report to AGM and GM.
  • Assist with conducting inventory counts on designated days, when needed.
  • Abide and enforce the SB Yen and PB policies and procedures.

Education/Experience

  • 1 years of food handling/store experience, Paris Baguette experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Chicago Food Manager and Illinois Food Certification, or ability to become certified.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proficient on Point-of-Sale systems, currently Toast, understand the importance of cash handling and accuracy of transactions.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
