The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando are looking for their next Complex Senior Event Manager to join their Events team!

Located in the vibrant Bonnet Creek area, these two adjoining properties offer guests a luxurious stay as Official Walt Disney World® Hotels. Signia by Hilton Orlando provides 150,000 square feet of meeting and function space, while Waldorf Astoria Orlando offers an additional 60,000 square feet, creating an ideal setting for grand meetings, conventions, and unforgettable events. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Complex Senior Event Manager who is passionate about hospitality and driven to execute complex, large-scale events. What will I be doing?

As Complex Senior Event Manager at Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando, you will be responsible for the successful execution of sales agreements for large and complex meetings, conventions, and events, typically covering more than 300 cumulative room nights. You will act as the main liaison between the customer and hotel departments, ensuring smooth pre-planning and execution phases while maximizing revenue and controlling expenses. This role focuses on delivering exceptional event experiences to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Position Summary:

  • Negotiations: Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for products, labor, and services not explicitly covered in the master agreement.
  • Client Services: Manage client relationships through site visits, board meetings, menu tastings, and planning meetings for potential and definite groups.
  • Sales Execution: Execute group sales agreements, including room blocks, food and beverage services, exhibits, and associated products.
  • Client Relations: Proactively manage client relationships, addressing payment structures, room block management, food and beverage details, public room rentals, incremental revenue streams, performance damages, and the master billing process.
  • Needs Assessment: Analyze client needs and financial issues of in-house groups, authorizing resolutions that maintain profitability.
  • Event Logistics: Ensure logistics for guest rooms, meeting spaces, and events are planned, communicated, and executed by relevant departments and team members.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports and correspondence related to group activity, such as call reports, forecasts, menu proposals, event orders, post-event reports, and internal communications.
  • Meetings Participation: Participate in internal and external meetings as required, such as forecasts, menu reviews, citywide pre-cons, and departmental pre-shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize duties to meet and exceed event goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, establishing clear expectations and ensuring all needs are met.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of event planning processes, hotel products, and internal systems.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate terms to achieve win-win solutions while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Engage in continuous communication with both clients and internal teams.
  • Support the Director of Events as needed and perform additional duties based on business requirements.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  •     Minimum Years of Experience: two (2) years of hotel event manager experience
  •     Knowledge of the hotel property management systems (Delphi.fdc)
