Reports To: Player Development Vice-President

Summary 

Under the direction of the Player Development Vice-President, the Player Development Manager is responsible for the management, leadership and development of the Executive Host team. Day-to-day department operational responsibilities include hiring and training, planning, assigning and delegating work; appraising Host performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing staff issues. Ensuring that the team is focused on revenue growth through player development; improving VIP culture and new and existing VIP player base.

Supervisory Responsibilities 

Directly manages the Player Development Supervisor, Rewards Club Assistant Manager and the Player Development Specialist.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Execute enterprise marketing strategies
• Establish strategic goals that will meet or exceed the company’s financial goals
• Manage and monitor the utilization of the Host CRM database system
• Develop, establish, and monitor an Executive Host Bonus Program   
• Effectively use marketing techniques to increase visitation and attendance of VIP Special Events
• Drive revenue growth through Executive Host team 
• Monitor player utilization reports and create programs to increase volume
• Identify and target player segments for the purpose of host coding 
• Develop and motivate employees through feedback and measurable objectives 
• Develop VIP player re-investment strategy with Leadership
• Monitor Executive Host comp spend 
• Monitor revenue growth and player loyalty of all VIP tickets/VIP events
• Handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns within company guidelines in a timely fashion
• Assist in preparation of necessary data for the budget in areas of responsibility

Education and/or Experience  

High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Marketing a plus.  At least 2 years as a Casino Host and, at least, 5 years in an Executive Host management position. 

Computer Skills     

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to build relationships with internal supporting departments, staff and guests 
• Must always present self as well-groomed and professional.  
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to secondary smoke.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
