We are looking for Food & Beverage Attendantswho can service with smile and warmth delivering a high standard of customer service at Hilton Auckland's iconic bar - Bellini Bar, stunning FISH restaurant and Banqueting events spaces. Sip on fresh barista coffee and take in waterfront views by day. As the lights dim, enjoy a cocktail or a glass of champagne sitting seaside by night!
What will I be doing?
This role involves:
- You to elevate the guest experience by delivering our signature beverages with high-energy and efficient table service of food and beverage
- Creating drinks and preparing and serving a wide range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, pouring drinks, and ensuring that are served promptly
- Providing exceptional customer service by being friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the food & drinks menu's and readiness to explain and recommend food & beverage contents
- Moving furniture within the hotel and from and to Ports of Auckland
- Set up event spaces and tables as per standards
- Taking guest orders, polishing glassware, and cash handling
- Managing a variety of customer types, inquiries, and complaints
- Crafting exquisite high teas
Requirements
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate for this role will bring:
- 1 years experience as Food & Beverage Attendant, Barista or Bartender
- 4 / 5 star hotel experience
- Friendly, positive, energetic and commitment
- Flexible availability and reliable - to work during the week, weekends and public holidays
- Knowledge of beverages including coffee, cocktail, spirit, and wine highly desirable
- Experience in POS ordering systems and cash handling
- A good understanding of wine, its service and recommendations to guests
- Good English communication skills
It will be beneficial if you maintain the following:
- Completed a barista course
- Previous work experience within a 5-star hotel environment
- In possession of WSET
- In possession of LCQ or managers certificate
