Gatehouse Security Officer

Summary: Maintain access control at gatehouse entry, confirm identification of either guest or resident and ask for permission from authorized party for access of person at gate.

Essential Job Functions: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Checking in all entries: Guest, Vendors, Contractors, Visitors, Deliveries 7, and staff
• Data base platform for guests
• Data base platform for Members
• Data Base platform for SPA
• Data Base platform for Tennis
• Data Base platform for Golf
• Access Control Gated System
• RFID Access Control System
• Answering phone call
• Check all gates and cameras at Handover
• Receiving mail USPS.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day/evening/night shifts, weekends and holidays

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Excellent communication skills – writing; telephone and listening.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Thorough knowledge of the layout of the building, function rooms, and some knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for duration of shift. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a maximum of 50 lbs. Sufficient manual dexterity in hands. Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a rapid pace.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working indoors and occasionally works in outside weather conditions.
