POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Maintenance Tech, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the building and grounds, focusing on safety, security, and asset protection. You'll support the Engineering team in preventative maintenance, energy conservation, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met—all while embodying the spirited Moxy style.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Entry-level experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related field
• Technical training or familiarity with HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing is a plus
• Background in Fire/Life/Safety is advantageous
• Licenses or certifications in Plumbing, Electrical, or Boilers are beneficial
• Experience in a hotel environment is highly preferred but not mandatory

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Supporting Property Operations and Engineering

• Assist in maintaining equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems
• Operate equipment efficiently and safely
• Participate in an effective rooms maintenance program
• Ensure compliance with all Engineering departmental policies and procedures
• Help manage departmental expenses within budgeted goals
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine necessary work
• Recommend additional services like painting, repairs, renovations, and equipment replacement

Maintaining Property Standards

• Keep accurate logs and records as required
• Assist in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance programs
• Implement safety protocols
• Lead with Moxy style and enthusiasm

Guest Relations

• Effectively handle guest problems and complaints
