Kitchen Steward

Job Overview

As a Steward for Quirk Hotels you will be responsible for the up keep and cleanliness of the kitchen. Working in a fast-paced environment keeping up with the demands for dish ware and keeping the kitchen a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to give high quality guest service and strives to maintain a strong team environment. 

Essential Functions

• Work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
• Maintain a food safe environment that meets local and state health requirements
• Maintain Kitchen equipment and demand for dishes during breakfast, brunch, or dinner services ex: pots, pans, plates, glass and flat ware.
• sweep and mop floors
• Other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager on duty

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience of one year or more is preferred
• The ability to push, pull, or lift 50 pounds
• Knowledge of food storage and proper snatiation Practices
• Prioritization, organization and communication skills are a must in this role 
• Positive attitude
• Hard working & enjoy physical work
• Reliable
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Flexible with Schedule changes
• Previous experience working in kitchens is an asset but not required
