Who we are:

The Ballantyne, A Luxury Collection Hotel Franchised of Marriott International family, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Event Services Manager to join our team. As an Event Services Manager at The Ballantyne, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional event experiences to our valued guests. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, creativity, and passion for delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, conferences, social gatherings, and corporate functions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, preferences, and budget requirements, ensuring the successful execution of their events.
  • Customize menus based on client requests, dietary restrictions, and event themes, in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including staffing, room setup, audiovisual requirements, and transportation, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers to foster repeat business and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with The Luxury Collection high standards of quality, service, and safety regulations throughout all catering operations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and innovative catering techniques, and incorporate them into our offerings as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an events role within the hospitality industry, preferably with a focus on wedding and social events.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Marriott's service standards and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including catering software, Microsoft Office, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, but not required.
