The FP&A Analyst role will be part of a team of 8, comprising of 3 analysts, 1 Asst Manager, 3 Managers and Director in the FP&A function.  This is a key role, reporting directly into the Financial Planning & Analysis Director, and will have ownership of delivering tools to ensure consistent and accurate performance analysis and forecasts are issued to support business decisions across the Managed and Leased estate.

The role will be responsible for supporting driving standardisation and excellence in financial planning (including forecasting and budgeting) and analysis; for the revenue, costs and hotels within your remit. This will be achieved by working with fellow FP&A Analysts to create tools, reports and analysis centrally.

The role holder must be comfortable influencing at senior level and combine the ability to think strategically with a positive hands-on attitude. Key stakeholders will include Accounting & Control team, Commercial Finance Managers, Hotel Commercial Leadership and Hotel General Managers.

Some of the main tasks will include, developing new complex tools to improve forecasting accuracy and analysis.  Running Weekly & Monthly payroll forecast reports, consolidated month-end reporting, and commentary files. Supporting the Managers with any ad-hoc requests for additional reports and analysis.

What are we looking for?

• 2 years relevant and progressive work experience in Accounting or Finance. 
• Ability to analyse large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts, and projections. 
• Ability to develop excel tools, reports & presentations using macros and VBA
• Strong communication and negotiation skills (all levels of management and external customers). 
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook with the ability to quickly learn new programs when required.
