Server Assistant

Who you will be working for:

We are looking for a reliable and friendly Server Assistant team member to provide superb customer service to our guests at the Hyatt Centric-Arlington. Your duties will include providing top level service to the hotel guest that meet the Hyatt standard. You should also be able to resolve guest complaints and queries promptly and in a polite manner. To be successful as a Server Assistant you must be honest, a team player, and have knowledge of customer service in a restaurant and hotel setting.

What you will be doing:

BASIC FUNCTION: 

The Server Assistant is responsible for the clearing and setting of tables in a timely manner. Assist with service to guest and ensure guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Clear tables as needed. Reset with proper linen, china, silver and glassware.

Provide water and bread throughout the meal to the guest.

Complete opening and closing side work.

Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the restaurant.

Keep work area neat and clean.

Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.

Assist servers with service to guests

Assist dishwasher with cleaning of items and equipment when necessary

Deliver food as needed

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Respond to task as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Help out in other areas of the restaurant as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.

Restaurant experience, preferred

Customer service experience

Excellent communication skills.
