Your responsibilities

As Director of Finance you will be responsible for carrying out the following tasks to the highest standards:

• You will ensure that your team prepares and produces the monthly financial statements and all other required management reports
• You will work closely with the Assistant Finance Manager/General Manager to produce, complete and accurate forecasts and budgeting proposals for the hotels
• You develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continuously review processes and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency
• Your ensure that the balance sheets appropriately reflect the hotels' assets and liabilities
• You will be responsible for holding monthly financial update meetings with the General Manager/Hotel Team
• You adhere to Hilton policies and procedures across the business and ensure performance is maximized on the Finance Balanced Scorecard
• You manage the hotel's accounting relationships to ensure excellent service by providing high quality input, e.g. accurate and timely processing of invoices, banking and payroll transactions
• You will regularly review the balance sheets and ensure reconciliation of all accounts controlled by the cluster hotels and explanation of all balances
• You support the other department heads in improving their financial awareness and provide relevant financial information for their activities

Who are we looking for?

• You have previous experience in a similar role
• You have a talent for organization, planning and the ability to set priorities
• You have smart negotiation skills and the ability to influence
• You have a strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
• You bring effective management skills (upward and downward) and a willingness to coach and train others
• You have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills (fluency in German and English is essential)
• For this position it would be advantageous if you can already demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
• Previous experience in the hotel industry
• In-depth knowledge of tax and contracts
