Houseman

Job Overview:

The Resort Houseman is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the resort's public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas. This role plays a crucial part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, assisting with guest requests, and supporting the housekeeping team.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Public Area Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain the resort's public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities.

Guest Room Support: Assist housekeepers with the cleaning and preparation of guest rooms, including replenishing supplies, changing linens, and emptying trash.

Back-of-House Areas: Ensure cleanliness and organization of back-of-house areas, including storage rooms, laundry rooms, and staff restrooms.

Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables from all areas of the resort.

Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities as needed.

Guest Requests: Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities, supplies, or maintenance issues.

Maintenance Reporting: Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager for timely resolution.

Team Support: Assist other housekeeping staff as needed and participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in a housekeeping or janitorial role preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
