The iconic Beverly Hilton is looking for aUtility Engineer to join the Engineering / Property Operations Team!

This Forbes 4-Star hotel has over 500 rooms, 60,000 square of feet of banquet space, and 4 food and beverage outlets. This includes 2 restaurants, a lounge, and in-room dining.

  • Shift: Various - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Union Position:This position is part of the Local 11 Union which requires complete open availability. We are not able to accommodate schedule restrictions and full-time hours are not guaranteed. Hours and schedule are based on seniority and business needs and may be minimal at times until seniority is established.  You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades in order to visually inspect and detect items needing repair. Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently on the job. Performing these duties requires experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to 80 lbs. The ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often time’s overhead is also required.

What will I be doing?

As an Utility Engineer, you would be responsible for maintaining the guestrooms, public space and back of the house areas in good repair to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel. These assignments relate to a variety of trades that include but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.
  • Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets.

Pay Range: The hourly rate is$22.23 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
