Aloft Sunnyvale is currently looking for a for a part-time Food Prep (Mondays - Fridays, 4:45PM - 10:30PM) to join our team. As a Food Prep, you’ll be responsible for preparing food using recipes and menu items and plating dishes according to our standard recipes.

Some of their key duties and responsibilities include:

• Setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards
• Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked
• Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Plating prepared foods based on guidance
• Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensure the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• ServSafe certified preferred
• Willing to cross trained to the Front Desk

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary exp. preferred
• 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort
• Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Prior experience as cook required
